Hideo Kojima denies PlayStation acquisition rumors

Hideo Kojima has denied that his study is being acquired by PlayStation after intense speculation. Hideo Kojima has been working closely with PlayStation since the end of 2015. The owner of the platform has supported him after his departure from Konami and financed the first project of him, Varada de la Death. Although he has worked closely with them, he is still an independent developer and Kojima Productions no longer has links with Sony. Rumors suggest that Hideo Kojima is working on an Xbox exclusive horror game that will work with a new technology in the cloud. In spite of all this, the fans began to believe that something much greater in the study could be happening.

Earlier this week, PlayStation updated its PlayStation Studios Banner image to include Varada de la Death __. Although it is an exclusive of PlayStation, many raised the eyebrow, since all the other games were from a study owned by PlayStation. This led many to believe that this image was made as a precursor of a larger ad. Now, Hideo Kojima has shared the image with the PlayStation Studios logo on the Tuit. After seeing the reaction of the fans, Kojima clarified in a follow-up tweet saying "sounds misleading, but Kojipro has been and will remain an independent production study."

PlayStation Makes Sudden Change That Leads To Kojima Productions Acquisition Speculation

It has rumored a lot that a great acquisition of PlayStation will soon be produced, but nobody knows when or for whom it will be. To add more fire fuel from the theories of fans, Hideo Kojima moves to a new office. By itself, that probably does not seem like anything, but the moment everything has been enough to make Kojima fans go crazy. At the moment, Hideo Kojima has not announced any specific game, but it is believed that he is working on two different games. Some expect one to be varant of death 2, but nothing has been confirmed. Hideo Kojima is expected to reveal the next game of it at The Game Awards at the end of the year.
